Event Connector is an Android app for finding local events and signing up. Built for an app development course, it also gives organizers a place to publish events and track registrations.
Find something nearby
Browse events on Google Maps or in a list, with distance and category filters to narrow the results. Each event includes details, registration, and directions. Reviews combine ratings with written comments, with an option to post anonymously.
Organize an event
Organizers enter a location, schedule, and capacity, then preview the event before publishing. The management view shows registrations and how many places are filled as people sign up.
The Java Android app stores event and attendance data in Firebase Realtime Database. Database listeners update the organizer’s capacity display as registrations change.
