Makerspace YK manages memberships, workshops, equipment bookings, and building access for Makerspace Yellowknife. It connects practical workshop rules to each member’s account, such as completing training before reserving a machine.
Workshops and equipment
Members browse sessions, check availability, and register online. Completed workshops can satisfy prerequisites for further training or equipment use. A time-based booking grid handles reservations and checks the required training.
Staff manage sessions, registrations, and workshop results. Google Calendar integration keeps workshop entries aligned with schedule changes.
Memberships and building access
Stripe handles payments and recurring memberships, including prorated upgrades between eligible monthly plans. A synchronization service maps membership and role eligibility to Brivo access groups and mobile passes. It grants or revokes access and records synchronization errors for staff to inspect.
The React Router and PostgreSQL application keeps membership, training, and booking records together so these services can work from the same information.
